Everton Vs Arsenal, Full Time ( 0 - 2 )

Arsenal kept alive their slim hopes of winning the Premier League thanks to a 2-0 win over Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday lunch time.

Arsene Wenger's side took the lead after just seven minutes through Danny Welbeck, before Alex Iwobi extended their advantage with a debut goal on his first-ever Premier League start for the club.

As a result, the Gunners have moved to within eight points of leaders Leicester City, who travel to Crystal Palace this afternoon, while Everton remain in 12th.

Arsenal will aim to end a miserable week on a high by closing the gap on league leaders Leicester against Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday.

At the start of the year, Arsenal were two points clear of Leicester at the top of the table and in contention for three trophies.

Three months later, Arsene Wenger's side trail leaders Leicester by 11 points in third position and have been eliminated from the FA Cup by Watford and the Champions League by Barcelona.
