“They were seated at a private table tucked away in the back,” an insider tells Star magazine of the proposal, which reportedly went down at her favorite restaurant, Butter. “Honestly, it didn’t look like anything special was going on, that is, until Gigi practically jumped out of her seat and yelled, ‘Yes!'”
The pair celebrated with a bottle of champagne and looked happier than ever, according to the mag. “They even got a round of applause from some other diners!” the source adds.
Gigi and Zayn were first linked following the American Music Awards in late November, just weeks after her split from Joe Jonas. But things have heated up quickly between the young lovebirds — they packed on the PDA in his “Pillowtalk” music video, and even starred in their very own, super sexy and romantic couples spread for Vogue. No big deal, right?!
We have yet to get any actual confirmation of this engagement rumor (or see a ring, for that matter), but don’t forget…Zayn has already been engaged once before, to Perrie Edwards, so he’s definitely not scared to take things to the next level.
