Oh boy. Rihanna, 28, is so proud of her ex Chris Brown, 26, for trying to move on from his past mistakes and be honest with his fans with his new documentary Welcome to My Life. However, a source tells HollywoodLife that she’s worried those memories will take him to “a dark place.” We’ll tell you why, right here.
Rihanna is so proud of he ex Chris’ progress in trying to take responsibility for his mistakes in his new documentary Welcome to My Life. “It hasn’t always been easy for him to express his feelings publicly and she couldn’t be prouder for him with his documentary.” an insider told HollywoodLife.
“But at the same time, Rihanna doesn’t want to rehash that dreadful day.”
“That day,” was the day of the 2009 Grammy Awards, when Chris did the unthinkable and hit Rihanna after she confronted him about a text from a former lover. “It’s not something she thinks about and she doesn’t want Chris to either,” the source explained. “She’s forgiven him and that’s all that matters.
They’ve spoken. Rihanna knew what was up with his documentary and like she’s done most of her life, she supports it. Chris is working on himself and trying to be the best man and father he can.”
Rihanna does worry that his progress will be undone by reliving the dark parts of his past, but she’s still staying positive and hopes it’s all part of his growing up. “If he has to keep going into the dark places of his life to get to the other side of the tunnel to see the light than so be it,” the source continued. “Ri just wants him to know that he doesn’t have to continue to seek the media’s approval. She’s already forgiven him and to her, the two of them will always be cool.”
