It’s a two-day event that continues on Memorial Day, which is an extra special treat, with the sun set to align at 8:12 p.m. If you miss it, don’t worry because it’s due to happen again on July 11 and 12.

For the best view, we suggest heading to the following cross streets 14th, 23rd, 34th, 42nd and 57th. From there you will see everything you need to.
How did it get its name?
Manhattanhenge was first coined by scientist Neill deGrasse Tyson. He adapted the name from Stonehenge in the UK and their summer solstice, giving it a NY flavor.
What’s the difference in the two days of Manhattanhenge?
Well, that’s simple. On the first day the first sunset will be a half sun. However, day two brings a full sun, which is an incredible view.
