Can you believe this? 50 Cent, 40, was arrested in St. Kitts in the Caribbean on June 25 after failing to use the clean version of one of his songs in concert. Cursing in public is illegal in the Caribbean, and 50 got carted off by police as soon as the concert was over! What?
50 Cent is probably regretting not getting some clean tracks in order for his St. Kitts concert, because now he’s sitting in a local jail. 50 only had the explicit recording of “P.I.M.P.” on hand for his show, which would have been fine if he just moved the mic away from his face when he needed to say “motherf**king.” Or, you know, just not said it!
50 had apparently been warned about the public profanity restrictions prior to getting onstage in front of 40,000 fans, but he still didn’t adhere to the law. That’s why cops were waiting for him as soon as he finished his set; they arrested 50 and booked him for public profanity. While this is a very minor offense, he still has to sit in jail until Money, June 27, until he’s able to go to court and pay a fine.
50 really doesn’t have too much to worry about. The same thing happened to DMX back in 2003, and he only had to pay $400 for the offense. But…that was 13 years ago. Things might have changed since then. And lest we forget, 50’s got some money problems! Let’s hope things go well on Monday!
