Demi Lovato & Wilmer Valderrama Break Up: Couple Splits After Nearly 6 Years Of Dating

OMG make it stop!!! Yet another young Hollywood couple has called it quits, with Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama’s shocking announcement that they’re breaking up after almost six years together. Keep reading for more details on why they’re ending things.

SO incredibly sad! We totally didn’t see this one coming as Demi Lovato, 23, and Wilmer Valderrama, 36, made the bombshell announcement late June 3 that their six year romance has come to an end. NO!!! What is with all these young Hollywood breakups this week?! This one really hurts because they always seemed so solid and had been through so much together.

“After almost six loving and wonderful years together, we have decided to end our relationship,” the now former couple posted in a message on her Instagram.

“This was an incredibly difficult decision for both of us, but we have realized more than anything that we are better as best friends. We will always be supportive of one another,” they continued.
“Thank you to everyone who offered us kindness and support over the years. With only love, Demi and Wilmer,” they signed off together.

Poor Demi! She just lost her beloved great grandmother on May 29 and now her relationship has come to and end. We hope brighter things are coming her way because this is so much for one person to take in. She’s always said what a rock of support Wilmer has been to her, especially in helping her maintain her sobriety. She celebrated four years clean in March when she tweeted,” This last year I experienced so much life and too much death… But I made it through… Sober.” Demi heads out on tour later this month so we hope she takes solace in throwing herself into her work.

The news is even more shocking since recently on May 22, he was with her at the Billboard Music Awards, where he was her biggest cheerleader.

It seems like Hollywood breakups are definitely happening in three’s, with Taylor Swift, 26, and Calvin Harris, 32 ending their 15 month romance on June 1, and Gigi Hadid, 21, and Zayn Malik, 23, calling it quits after seven months together on June 2. Now we’ve got Demi and Wilmer ending things, so PLEASE let this be the last celeb breakup for awhile because our hearts just can’t take much more.
