Iggy Azalea & Nick Young: Why Their Relationship Was Irreparable After Cheating Scandal

Not all things that are broken can be repaired. Iggy Azalea decided to cut ties with Nick Young after his suspected infidelity was too much for her to overcome. HollywoodLife.com has the scoop on what led to their demise.

Iggy Azalea, 26, recently announced that she split up with her fiancé Nick Young, 31, on June 19. Despite giving it her all, the rapper shamelessly admitted that she could no longer believe Nick after the cheating scandal which made headlines earlier this year. HollywoodLife.com has all the details on why he couldn’t win back her trust.

“This relationship is not repairable at this point because Iggy just can’t trust Nick,” a source tells E! News on June 20. “Iggy and Nick haven’t been the same since that video was leaked a few weeks ago. She tried to put it behind her, but she still did not trust him. She was questioning so many things about what he was doing since that was leaked.” A second insider close to the athlete also revealed, “[Azalea’s questioning] was driving Nick crazy. The relationship just was not the same. They can’t predict the future but, as of now, it’s done.” The sketchy video previously recorded by D’Angelo Russell, 20, went viral due to it’s salacious content, showing the NBA star bragging about cheating on his girlfriend with a 19-year-old girl. Yikes!

Nonetheless, Iggy made the bold and courageous decision to stick with Nick in the hopes that he was just trying to impress his teammates with a little proof that he still had swag. The “Black Widow” singer didn’t take the claims lying down however, she later threatened to chop off his manhood if he ever cheated again! Fast-forward to now, one year after Nick took a knee to propose to his lady on June 15 — the Los Angeles Lakers star seems totally nonchalant with his feelings about their public breakup. Nick took to Twitter with a simple one-worded statement about his new relationship status, “Single.”

Iggy still seems to be letting go of all the negativity, closing out her breakup message: “I genuinely wish Nick the best. It’s never easy to part ways with the person you planned your future with, but futures can be rewritten and as of today mine is a blank page.”
