They need this one! Sweden takes on Italy on June 17 knowing they can’t lose if they want to qualify for the second round of Euro 2016. The Italians, however, look very impressive when they defeated Belgium in their opening match. And even though they don’t boast any star names, this Italian team played exactly like that — a team — and will be very difficult opposition for anybody in this year’s tournament. Going into the Euros, Italy weren’t really favored by many critics and much was said about their lack of firepower and creativity. But, if you have a defense as resolute as the Italians, you can stay in games without conceding. The back line is made in Juventus, and with Gianluigi Buffon between the sticks they won’t let many goals in.
Sweden labored to a draw against Ireland, battling back after going a goal down. But they will need a much-better performance this time out and will have to rely on talisman Zlatan Ibrahimovic to provide their goal threat up top. He showed what an important player he is for the Swedes providing an assist on the own goal that earned the draw in game 1.

Sweden knows they can’t lose this game. A draw will leave them needing a win in their final game against Belgium, who themselves will be desperate for a win.
This should be a great game, with two committed and aggressive teams expected to play the physical game. There may be only goal in it, but it’s difficult to say either way.
