Texan Mom Who Slaughtered Young Daughters: Husband Begged Wife — ‘Don’t Do This’

Christy Sheats’ husband allegedly pleaded with her not to shoot their two daughters, before she ignored him and ended their lives. Jason Sheats had to see his wife killed by police in the horrific incident, too.

Jason Sheats, 45, allegedly begged his wife, Christy Sheats, 42, not to shoot their two daughters, Madison Sheats, 17, and Taylor Sheats, 22, on June 25 in Fulshear, Texas. An officer at the scene said he overheard Jason telling Christy not “to do this,” before she murdered their children.

“[The officer] heard the dad say, ‘Don’t do this. They’re our kids,’” said Fazz Zainuddin, the Sheats’ neighbor, speaking to Click2Houston. “This is sad knowing a good family and this is what happened.” The nature of their family dispute is still unknown at this time. Neighbors said that Christy recently moved back into the home after being gone for some time. It’s unclear what caused her to do such a horrible thing.

Christy chased her two daughters out into the street, and opened fire, shooting them both. Taylor died at the scene; Madison was airlifted to a nearby hospital and later died of her injuries. Jason didn’t suffer any injuries, but he was also taken to the hospital, presumably to be with his young daughter. He was undoubtedly emotionally distressed by losing his two daughters and wife, too.

Police responded to multiple 911 calls from neighbors about the shooting, and when they rushed to the scene, Christy still had her gun in hand. She was apparently standing over Madison, looking like she was going to shoot again; an officer shot Christy once, killing her. To add to Jason’s grief, this unfathomable, sickening tragedy happened on his 45th birthday. “He was going through a very difficult time,” said Fort Bend County Sheriff Troy Nehls.

Folks, our thoughts are with Jason Sheats during this incredibly difficult time.
