Theresa Saldana Dead: Fans Mourn ‘The Commish’ Star After Her Sudden Death

So sad. Actress Theresa Saldana died on June 7 after battling an illness, adding to the long list of stars who are gone too soon as she was only 61 years old. After hearing of yet another shocking celebrity death, fans of The Commish star shared sweet messages for Theresa on social media.

After being hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles for unreported reasons, Theresa’s condition apparently declined quickly, as a family member confirmed she was dead to LA Times on June 7. While it’s unclear what exactly caused her death, the family member said she died after an illness.

Aside from her starring role in The Commish, Theresa starred in several films and television shows, including Raging Bull, MacGyver, and I Wanna Hold Your Hand. Although she was successful in her acting career, Theresa was also known for her anti-stalking activism and her Victims for Victims organization she started after surviving a stabbing attack by a stalker in 1982.

Theresa’s on-screen husband in The Commish, Michael Chiklis, was one of the first people to react to her passing, tweeting that it was “painful” to hear about her death.

Theresa had recently split from her husband of 27 years before her death, but leaves behind a daughter named Tianna. Our hearts go out to her family and friends after such a sudden loss.
