This feud could just be getting started! Calvin Harris, 32, is absolutely livid with his ex-girlfriend, Taylor Swift, 26, for revealing their secret collaboration on “This Is What You Came For.” He even thinks that she’s trying to sabotage his career, according to a source who spoke to HollywoodLife! Is this why he went on a Twitter rant on July 13?
“Calvin is obviously furious with Taylor,” a source said. “He feels that she’s gone too far attacking his career. She’s trying to take money out of his hands, and food out of his mouth. She’s viciously trying to sabotage his career.”
“Calvin takes great pride in being not just a DJ spinning beats, but a full fledged musician,” the source continued. “He writes music and lyrics, produces, and even sings here and there. He is very proud that he creates and works on his songs from top to bottom. It’s part of his brand and for [Taylor] to attack him is an attempt to hurt him professionally. If she wants to take shots at him about their relationship or his failings as a boyfriend that’s fine, but don’t try to ruin his professional life too.”
Calvin started his tweet spree peacefully, retweeting an article confirming that Taylor wrote his hit with Rihanna, “This Is What You Came For,” and that she sang part of it as well. He continued by saying that this was the end of her contribution to the song; he wrote the music, produced it, arranged it, etc. She wanted to keep it secret! This isn’t true, according to an excellent source who spoke to HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY. Taylor did, in fact, write the melody!
“Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though. I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry. I won’t allow it.” Wow! Calvin is really hurt —
