At least 30 shots were heard during the shooting, which took place at approximately 6 p.m. July 12 in a Norfolk suburb of Berkley, VA. The recording of the attack — which was uploaded by T.J. to Facebook — continued for around two hours as onlookers and paramedics assisted the three 20-something victims. Norfolk police spokesman Officer Daniel Hudson confirmed that the video posted around 9 p.m. was of the same shooting being investigated at the 900 block of Bainbridge Boulevard, according to NY Daily News.

The video shows a man, identified as T.J. sitting in the passenger seat of the car, recording himself singing and smoking with the two other victims. It is five minutes into the video when things turn graphic, as a series of gunshots rattle off, causing T.J. to drop his phone. But terrifyingly enough, the recording continues, and you can hear the voices of scared residents and a family member who heard the frightening gunshots and called 911. You can also hear the voice of a man saying, “Stay relaxed.

Don’t go to sleep. Keep your eyes open. Keep listening to my voice. They’re going to get you. It’s going to be OK.” The man refers to one of the victims as T.J. and later says, “I love you, nephew.”

The Facebook Live video also captured the voices of the paramedics who treated the shooting victims, checking for any gunshot wounds before rushing them to the hospital with what police called “significant injuries.” Officers did not immediately identify the victims or release a description of a suspect. At the site of the shooting, a vehicle was seen with several bullet holes in the window, according to video from WTKR-TV.
