Jean Claude Van Damme, 55, is best known for his high-action films over the years, but now he’s going to have everyone talking about this wild interview he did with Australian TV. Unfortunately, what should have a been a simple question and answer segment went seriously wrong when the king of martial arts got a little upset with what he was being asked. Yikes.
“I just, guys you are talking behind the cameras, this is direct line,” Jean said angrily to the crew, his first target during the upsetting interview. “I’m online talking to you and they have people talking about… because I’m sweating and everything.”
With an angry sigh, Jean goes on to talk about his time working with his ex, Kylie Minogue, on Street Fighter — a movie that was made over 20 years ago. “Yeah, I like Kylie… sorry guys, I cannot do this anymore. You are talking to a guy who is very rough, you know? Let me talk, it’s good for the people they can hear that, let me talk, let me talk, please.
Those questions you’ve been asking me, the press, they’ve been asking me the same questions for the last 25 years. Kylie, how’s your training, how’s your this, how’s your that. So, I’m coming to Australia to maybe kind of do something with the audience. I’m 55 years old. So I’m not anymore 35, 25… I’m 55 years old. I’ve got a different POV of life.”
But, it doesn’t end there. Jean goes on to call the questions “boring” before asking for a more “interesting” question. However, he doesn’t even wait for the next question before saying, “Okay, I’ve got to go to the restroom. Goodbye.”
When Jean stands up he really loses it, demanding the crew, “Don’t shoot, cut.” Geez!
