Micah Johnson: Dallas Cop Killer Bought AK-47 Rifle For $600 In A Target Parking Lot

This is unbelievable. The late Micah Johnson — the man responsible for killing five police officers in a shooting in Dallas on July 7 — apparently bought an AK-47 for $600 in a Target parking lot just two years before the standoff. Read on to find out more!

Federal investigators found a man who allegedly sold an AK-47 to the late Dallas shooter, Micah Xavier Johnson, in the parking lot of a Target store. How insane is that?? Colton Crews, 26 — the man who sold Micah the gun — apparently arranged the deal via Facebook with the shooter, who killed five police officers in Texas on July 7. Click here to find out what Colton had to say about how the transaction went down and how he feels about the Dallas murderer.

Colton claims to have forgotten about the sale until he was tracked down by investigators last week, according to the New York Daily News. He said he met with Micah for just 15 minutes in a Target parking lot in November 2014. How scary is that? “I don’t even know how I feel about it right now,” Colton told the New York Daily News. “I have no idea. It’s awful. It’s just bad. He didn’t stand out as a nut job. He didn’t stand out as a crazy person at all.

He stood out as just another guy. And he was U.S. service, so he was like your first pick when you’re selling a gun to somebody.” The seller said Micah paid him $600 for the semi-automatic, checked that the rifle worked, made some small talk and that was it. The transaction was legal under the Texas law for a private sale.

Colton said his step-father joined him on the sale and they both thought that they were just selling a high-power weapon to a war veteran who had used a similar one in combat. “He’s in a black SUV, [we] get out, shake his hand, introduce ourselves in person. My stepdad actually gets out, thanks him for his service, and lets us do our thing,” he said.

But that isn’t even the scariest part. Colton actually said he did a background check on Micah on the internet and assumed he was a “good guy.” We can’t even believe how Colton must feel about selling the semi-automatic to Micah now.

It is unknown whether the gun was the one used in the Dallas shooting, as Colton said authorities told him, “All we can say is it was recovered, we’re just finding out everything we can. He didn’t say it was the one he used. I hope to God it wasn’t. I hope I’m not that close to all this.” We can only hope for Colton’s sake it wasn’t.
