Sarah Chalke, 39, welcomed baby number two, a daughter named Frankie, two and a half months ago, according to US Weekly! Props to Sarah for keeping it on the DL for so long! And we can only imagine how thrilled she and her fiancé, Jamie Afifi, must be! Even cuter, their first child, son Charlie Rhodes Afifi, 6, is now a big brother — SO exciting!
And how cute is the name Frankie? The couple apparently chose their daughter’s name as a tribute to the Mother’s Day star’s grandfather — how sweet is that? “I’m madly in love with my kid,” Sarah revealed to the publication about her newborn. “It’s been really fun.”
There’s no doubt Sarah and Jamie are completely thankful for the safe arrival of their second bundle of joy. After all, in 2013 Sarah revealed that Charlie, who was born back in 2009, had been diagnosed with Kawasaki disease, a rare condition that causes inflammation in the blood vessels and mainly impacts children ages five and younger.
And in an effort to raise awareness about the disease, the Scrubs actress appeared on a season 9 episode of Grey’s Anatomy, portraying a mother whose son was suffering from a rare sickness, a role that was inspired by her real life. Talk about emotional!
“It was a very difficult time because Charlie was misdiagnosed a lot, and we fought really hard to get him seen by a specialist,” Sarah told Wetpaint at the time. “We got the treatment on day ten-and-a-half, so it was on the late side. Thank God he’s ok.” Thank God is right! And we’re so happy that her newest little one is also doing well — here’s to the happy family!
