Update: This report is false, according to an excellent Taylor source: “A Swift source confirmed Taylor and Tom met on May 1st at a Met Ball dinner at Anna Wintour’s home in New York City and not as falsely reported by The Sun in February,” HollywoodLife was told EXCLUSIVELY.
Taylor Swift, 26, according to The Sun, allegedly had a big ol crush on Tom Hiddleston, 35, when they met at the MET Gala in February 2016. That’s where the unlikely pair had an epic dance off…and the rest was history. Calvin Harris, 32, was in a terrible car crash that left him with minor, but scary injuries in May; while Taylor and Calvin broke up shortly afterward, sources who spoke to The Sun allege that Taylor “moved on” with Tom far before that!
“Taylor’s true colours are coming out,” the source said. “The truth is she met Tom in February and things are moving very quickly. She had vacated her relationship with Calvin way before she let on.” Whoa! Those are some serious claims! Taylor and Tom were first spotted together, canoodling and kissing on the beach in Rhode Island in June, just two weeks after her split with Calvin. There was no talk about this alleged February situation, however.
Friends of Taylor who also spoke to The Sun deny the “unfounded” claims that anything untoward happened between Taylor and Tom earlier than was let on; there was “no romance whatsoever” between the singer and movie star when they met in February.
We all know how Calvin feels about her relationship, though. During his epic Twitter rant on July 13, the DJ, among other things, called Taylor out for parading around her happy relationship; he said that if she was so happy with her new guy, she should focus on that, instead of dragging him down!
