Chris Brown is continuing to defend himself after his shocking arrest for assault with a deadly weapon. The singer posted an Instagram message in the early hours of Aug. 31, saying that ‘the world will see’ that he is innocent. Click to see his first message!

“Real friends!!!!!” he captioned an Instagram video of Ray J. “The world will see!!! TRUST ME.”
These are Chris’ first words following an intense standoff with police at his home and his arrest for assault with a deadly weapon on Aug. 30. Chris, 27, reposted the video Ray J made defending him. In the video, Ray J, 35, talked about how “upset” he was over the Chris’ situation and slammed police for creating a “war zone for no reason.”

Chris also reposted a tweet from his lawyer, Mark Geragos, 58, on Instagram. Mark tweeted that Chris was “out and well” and the allegations against him were “demonstrably false.”

The singer’s latest crisis is due to him being accused of threatening Baylee Curran, 25, with a gun on Aug. 30. Police went to his house with a search warrant and reportedly discovered a gun, other weapons, and drugs.

Chris has been very vocal from the beginning about the scary situation. Before his arrest, he posted an Instagram video proclaiming his innocence and blasting the police. He later posted another video, calling Baylee an “ugly” and “trifling b*tch.” Baylee, who was accused of grand larceny in 2014, continues to maintain that Chris allegedly put a gun to her head. She later explained her side of the story and slammed the Breezy fans attacking her in a shocking video of her own.

After a long standoff with police, Chris left his house and was taken into custody. He was later released on $250,000 bail. Chris is expected to be in court on Sept. 20.
