Nick Jonas, 23, was by his big brother, Joe Jonas’, side as the latter’s band was announced the winner of the fan-voted Best New Artist VMA. The guys hugged it out in the audience before the foursome went onstage to accept the honor, but Nick also took to Twitter to send his sibling love.
He wasn’t the only one, either — the 23-year-old’s tourmate and Joe’s ex, Demi Lovato, 24, also shared a sweet message, tweeting, “F*** yeah @DNCE!!! You guys deserve it!!!” See their messages and more from excited DNCE fans here:
The band campaigned hard for this honor, and Joe was obviously incredibly grateful that their fans pulled through. “Thank you to every DNCE fan around the world we love you!!!!” he excitedly wrote on social media after the show.
Meanwhile, Joe wasn’t the only Jonas to have a big night. Even though Nick wasn’t nominated for an award, he gave an epic performance of his song “Bacon” with Ty Dolla $ign and it was one of our favorite moments of the night! Rather than taking the stage at MSG, the guys hit up the nearby Tick Tock Diner, then took things out to the street, to put on an amazing show. Joe and his bandmates, along with stars like Ashley Graham and Taylor Hill, were featured in the performance, too.
