The Up & Down club in New York City was poppin’ after the MTV Video Music Awards, but the party didn’t really start until Drake, 29, and Rihanna, 28, showed up around 3:15 a.m., according to E! News. But with the VMAs ending at midnight…what were the two doing for those three hours?!
Considering RiRi had the last performance of the night, it’s likely the two were just getting ready and enjoying a breather before hitting the bar, but we have to wonder if there was some sexy time going on, as well. After all, the 28-year-old had to be totally swooning over her man after he publicly declared his love for her while presenting her with the Video Vanguard Award!
During his speech, Drake gushed over Rihanna’s talent and affect on the industry, and admitted that he’s been “in love” with her since he was 22 years old. Then, he gave her a sweet kiss as he handed over the trophy, and they walked off the stage together hand in hand.
These two have been on and off for years, but recently, it seems like they’ve really taken things to the next level. Besides showing off their insane chemistry during onstage performances, the rapper also dedicated a whole billboard in California before the VMAs to congratulate Rihanna on her big honor at the show. Okay, we totally ship this, you guys!
