Jaden Smith, 18, looked super cool as ever, with the style icon donning a dark Louis Vuitton printed jacket with black jeans, while his long braids were tied in a pony tail on the side of his head. If he was upset about the news that his girlfriend Sarah Snyder, 21, allegedly cheated on him, the heartbreak didn’t show as he happily talked about his new Netflix show The Get Down which premieres Aug. 12.
He was absolutely giddy with excitement talking about the new program, which is set in the 1970’s Bronx. He said, “The Get Down is the party sequence, the music, the art, the whole experience of of the Bronx in that time,” and he wasn’t kidding, as Jimmy Fallon, 41, showed off a photo from the show that had him in perfect 70’s attire and a large afro wig. “I’m so happy to be a part of it, and the history of it made me really want to be a part of it,”
Jaden revealed as he explained how hip hop is so big today, but his show goes back to explore the musical genre’s origins.
Just the day before, Jaden and Sarah attended the NYC premiere of his dad Will Smith‘s new blockbuster film Suicide Squad and put on their usual PDA, holding hands and kissing passionately.
The pair have been dating for over a year and are never shy about openly showing their love. But things took a crazy turn when hours later a photographer named Gunner Stahl tweeted then deleted a picture of him and Sarah in bed together.
It looked like the pic was taken by Jaden’s woman and showed Gunner in a shirt while Sarah’s shoulders were bare with sheets covering the rest of her. Gunner reportedly tagged Jaden in the caption, making sure that he got a good look at Sarah’s possible cheating, which had to have come as a total shock to the actor/model. But if it was really bothering Jaden, his acting chops helped him get past it with his energetic and cheery Tonight Show appearance.
