“We went through this entire crazy journey that somehow led us to each other. We’re so ready to start our life together!” an elated JoJo Fletcher, 25, tells PEOPLE about her brand new fiance Jordan Rodgers, 27. The Dallas real estate developer accepted Jordan’s romantic proposal — and numerous “I Love You’s — during the Bachelorette finale Aug. 1. Now that the cat’s out of the bag that they’re officially engaged, they can’t stop talking about their journey to love.
“I had this immediate sense of comfort with him,” JoJo reveals to the magazine. “From that first initial interaction, I knew I could fall in love with Jordan.” She discusses how she swore on the show’s first night that she promised herself she wasn’t going to kiss any of her potential suitors, but it totally happened with Jordan, as sparks flew between the pair from the very beginning. It was SO obvious to viewers all along that JoJo’s heart always belonged to Jordan.
She even gave him her first impression rose because, “I had this immediate sense of comfortability with him, he made he laugh and it just felt like I’d known him for longer than a second.” Jordan shares the same sentiment, echoing “Looking back on it, it was so natural.”
The hunky former football star always kept his eye on the prize and that was to win his beloved JoJo’s heart. He says, “I was so ready,” he said about proposing to her. “JoJo is the one. I know that, no matter what, we’ll get through anything.” The beauty agreed that there was no way she ever wanted him to get away, revealing “On those final days, I thought about who I couldn’t imagine saying goodbye to.
It was always Jordan. And that’s how I knew.” Awww, is this the cutest Bachelorette couple EVER or what?!
