Michelle Obama Wows In White At State Dinner — See Her Amazing Dress

Michelle Obama is a goddess! The First Lady was a vision in white as she and President Barack Obama welcomed the Prime Minister of Singapore to a state dinner at the White House on Aug. 2. We have all the details on her stunning look, right here!

Reason number 34203940 why we’re going to miss having Michelle Obama as our First Lady: she’s got the most amazing sense of style. She proved it yet again on Aug. 2 when she wore an incredibly elegant white gown with an interesting round neckline and flowing cape in the back while hosting a state dinner with President Barack Obama.

And it wasn’t just her dress that was on-point. Michelle’s hair was slicked back into a chic up-do and her stunning smokey eye and pink lip went perfectly with the regal look. Of course we couldn’t ignore her gorgeous hoop earrings, which were covered in diamonds and made by Butani.

The First Lady was all dressed up to welcome Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong of Singapore and his lovely wife Ho Ching to a swanky state dinner in the North Portico of the White House in Washington, D.C.. The special event was meant to celebrate 50 years of relations between the two countries, and what better way to do it than a massive black tie party?! The White House called it a “celebration of summer bounty.”

We have to admit, we’re pretty darn jealous of the guests who got to munch on Maryland blue crab salad and American Wagyu beef dressed with roasted yam. They also got to move on to State Dining Room to listen to R&B soul singer-songwriter Chrisette Michele perform for the night. So fun!
