Taylor Swift ‘Wasn’t Interested’ In Kanye West’s VMA Diss: Refused To Watch Show

Kanye West could have gone off on Taylor Swift all he wanted to during the VMAs, because she didn’t even bother to watch! HollywoodLife has learned EXCLUSIVELY that she had zero interest in viewing the telecast and had someone else watch it for her just to make sure she wasn’t dissed on!

“She had the show monitored for anything that Kanye or anyone else might have to say about her, but she didn’t watch the show live. There wasn’t anything she wanted to see that she couldn’t see at a later time. If she was interested in watching she would have been there in person,” a source tells HollywoodLife.

Luckily for Taylor, 26, Yeezy barely mentioned her in his rambling five-minute stream of consciousness introduction to his “Fade” video. “Last week it was 22 people murdered in Chicago,” he said. “People come to me like…take Taylor. Like, bro, I love all y’all (artists). That’s why I called her,” he said Aug 28 at the VMAs. Yep, he gave just sly a diss that he did in fact call her to let her know she was in his lyrics to “Famous,” but nothing beyond that was terribly mean.

Tay did have some good takeaways from the show though, as her pal Camila Cabello, 19, took home a Moonman trophy! “When she heard about the show and what happened, the one thing she was happy about and that stuck out to her was Fifth Harmony winning. She was very happy for Camila and the girls,” our insider adds.

It’s no wonder Taylor didn’t have time to watch the telecast as she had a jam packed schedule VMAs weekend. She was in Bedford, NY the day prior to the ceremony for close pal Blake Lively‘s baby shower, as the 29-year-old is expecting her second child any day now. She then had to high tail it down to Nashville to be at a courthouse bright and early for jury duty first thing on Aug. 29. Who has time for the VMAs with all of that going on!

Readers, are you surprised Kanye didn’t mention Taylor more during his rambling speech?
