Attending the Rio 2016 Olympic games was already a magnificent honor for Harry Dineley, who was there to support his boyfriend Tom Bosworth. But Tom, who was there to compete for Britain in the Men’s 20km race walk on August 12, had an ace up his sleeve to make Harry feel special after his event was over!
Tom proposed to Harry on the beach at the scenic Praia de Copacabana beach on August 15, and the whole thing was thankfully caught on camera. Tom posted a romantic pic of the proposal to Twitter, which showed him down on one knee, popping the question to his beaming boyfriend. He captioned the photo “He said YES!!”

This was Tom’s first Olympics, and after ranking 37th worldwide in the relatively unknown sport of race walking, he came in 6th place! Well done! He was clearly having the time of his life, too, posting tons of pics of himself taking in the sights with Harry and his family, and congratulating all his competitors on their races. What a nice guy!
