“It’s not about (Jennifer),” Courteney, 52, told Entertainment Tonight at Revlon’s Annual Philanthropic Luncheon event in L.A. Sept. 27 regarding Brangelina’s divorce. “I feel like we’re exacerbating it by even talking about it.” Way to have your pal Jen’s back, Court! The two have been best friends ever since they starred together on Friends and it’s great that Courteney is pointing out how Jennifer, 47, really has no place in Brad Pitt, 52, and Angelina Jolie‘s sudden split.
Ever since the 41-year-old actress served Brad with divorce papers on Sept. 19, the world has revisited how karma is coming back around to bite Brad after he left Jen for Angie nearly a dozen years ago. Now that he’s the one being dumped, Jen has been thrust back into their “triangle” all these years later. And unfortunately, so are her friends and loved ones.
While Jen herself hasn’t spoken out about the demise of Brangelina, her husband Justin Theroux, 45, shockingly didn’t mind going there Sept. 27. In an interview with Business Insider, Justin candidly replied about the split, “As a child of divorce all I can say is that’s terrible news for those children and that’s all you can really say.” What an amazing and well thought out answer. He went on to add sympathetically that, “It’s boring to sort of comment on anything else. People are having a bad time, that’s horrible.” Wow, that is such a gracious answer to a tough question that we’re sure he wasn’t too thrilled to be asked.
