Hah, we love it! After reports swirled Sept. 30 that Hugh Hefner, 90, was gravely ill and near death, the Playboy legend clapped back in the most awesome way ever. He took to his Twitter account and announced, “I wish the tabloids had informed me a little earlier in the week that I’m sick. I might have cancelled my weekend plans.” ZING! Just goes to show after all these years he’s still got that suave swagger that made him such the famed ladies man.
Not only that, he’s currently enjoying his movie night at the Playboy mansion, where he’s watching the classic western Shane in his home movie theater along with family and friends! Hugh shared a pic in his traditional look of silky pajamas while smiling at the camera as he embraces his lovely wife Crystal, 30. Unfortunately the photo was taken at an earlier time as she’s been posting pictures to her Instagram from Paris, even showing off now she was at Euro-Disney on Sept. 30 when the reports of his dire condition surfaced. Now would she really be galavanting around France if her husband was at home dying? We don’t think so!
Page Six had reported that Hugh is frail and gravely ill, but that his people were desperately trying to keep the news a secret. “He looks like he is down to around 90 pounds and super sick. His people are really trying to keep this under wraps. You even have to sign a confidentiality agreement to go up to see him,” their source claimed. A Playboy spokesman said Hugh has been battling back pain which makes it harder to get around, but that he’s still his spry self and is, “still very involved in the day-to-day activities of editing the magazine.” Whew! It’s still a relief to hear from the man himself that he’s doing okay!
