This is it. This is the end as we know it. A creepy image of a skull has appeared in an infrared camera lens shot of Hurricane Matthew as it hit Haiti, and the Internet has gone crazy over the scariness of it all. Take a look at the pic above,and try and convince us that this is not the most monstrous storm you’ve ever seen!

Naturally, people are losing their cool over this eerie depiction of the weather, and we all know that there’s only one thing to do in a situation like this: tweet about it. “So we are in agreement that #HurricaneMatthew looks like a rampaging skull, yes?” @thelisasills wrote. “#HurricaneMatthew LITERALLY looks like a skull over Haiti,” @AshleyJAE_ declared. In short, we are doomed.
Back to real talk, though. Hurricane Matthew is the first Category 5 Atlantic hurricane since Hurricane Felix in 2007, which means it’s actually pretty serious, skull jokes aside. The tropical storm is expected to significantly impact the southeastern region of the US by this weekend according to the National Hurricane Center, so be sure to keep an eye on official updates, especially if you’re located in Florida, Southeast Georgia or the Eastern Carolinas.
