While Kim Kardashian, 35, was being tied up, held at gunpoint and locked in the bathroom in her room in the Paris hotel, her friend, Simone Harouche, was in a separate area of the suite, away from the robbers. Although she didn’t know exactly what was going on, Simone clearly knew something was wrong, and quickly texted Pascal, Kim’s bodyguard, and sister, Kourtney Kardashian, 37, who were out together with Kendall Jenner, 20, and more friends.
The robbers eventually left, leaving Kim tied up with duct tape on her mouth, but she was able to somehow wriggle her hands free and get to her friend for help. The reality star reportedly told Simone to “jump off the balcony to get free,” according to E! News, and shortly later, they were rescued.
Police quickly flooded the area, allowing Kim to give a statement before she fled the scene and got on a private plane back to New York City. The 35-year-old explained to police that the robbers specifically wanted their hands on her $4 million ring from Kanye West, 39, according to TMZ, which they managed to get away with, along with a $6.4 million jewelry box and some other personal items. However, it was a small price to pay for Kim to escape the scene physically unharmed.
As we previously told you, Kim feared she was going to be raped by the masked men as they pulled her from bed and held a gun to her head in the middle of the night. But she kept her composure, realizing that she would have to remain quiet in order to survive, and we definitely applaud her heroics in this horrifying situation.
