This is such a shock! Actor Anthony Michael Hall has been charged with felony battery for a September 13 altercation with his neighbor, in which he allegedly ’caused him serious bodily harm.’ Is this charge serious enough for Anthony to go to jail?
Actor Anthony Michael Hall, best known for beloved ’80s films like The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, National Lampoon’s Vacation, and Weird Science, was charged with felony battery with serious bodily harm by the Los Angeles DA on November 27. Anthony faces up to seven years in prison if convicted of the serious crime.
In footage of the September 13, 2016 incident, obtained by TMZ, a man identified as Anthony, and an unnamed neighbor are seen getting into an altercation outside their homes in Playa del Rey, California. The man who is allegedly Anthony, argues with another man before shoving him onto the ground and walking away. The charges allege that Anthony broke the neighbors wrist and injured his back. Due to undisclosed “special circumstances,” the normal four-year maximum sentence for felony battery with serious bodily harm was upped to seven years, according to TMZ.

The incident allegedly occurred when the neighbor left the front gate to their condominium complex, and Anthony allegedly yelled at him to close it. They apparently then got into a fight over the gate. Anthony has actually got into trouble at his condo before. Anthony was arrested in 2011 on suspicion of disturbing peace with a neighbor (unclear if the same one), and apparently frightened his neighbors by allegedly “screaming obscenities and challenging people to fights in the street.” Whoa!
