Keo Woolford, who played Detective James Chang on Hawaii Five-0, died at the age of 49 on Nov. 28, his publicist told the Hollywood Reporter. He died at a hospital in Oahu, Hawaii, three days after he suffered a terrifying stroke. We are so devastated by the sad news of the actor passing away in his prime. It is always so upsetting to hear of shocking deaths like this.

His death was very hard on fans, friends, family and his co-stars, including Daniel Dae Kim who stars on Hawaii Five-0. The 48-year-old actor took to Twitter on Nov. 29 to send a message out to his late friend, telling him just how he feels following his passing. “As talented as you were, I will remember you most for your kindness. Thank you for sharing your light with us, @KeoWoolford. Rest In Peace,” the actor tweeted. OMG, our hearts are just breaking for everyone affected by Keo’s death.

Apart from his time on Hawaii Five-0, Keo wrote, directed and produced an independent film in 2013 entitled The Haumana. It is so sad that he passed away while in the middle of working on a sequel to the film. Keo acted in Happy, Texas (1999), Falling for Grace (2006) and Godzilla (2014). While he did focus mainly on his acting career on both television and film, Keo was also a member of the Hawaiian boy band Brownskin, and a theater actor who starred in over 300 performances of the musical The King & I.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all those who loved Keo and miss him dearly.
