The Chicago Cubs threw their pitch at comedy! A few members from the World Series winning team made an appearance on ‘Saturday Night Live’ for the Nov. 5 episode, continuing their post-Championship celebration in a major way! Check out their super SEXY skit here!
Live from New York, it’s the Cubbies! A few players from the winning team stopped by SNL for the Nov. 5 show, having flown into the Big Apple shortly after their first World Series win in 108 years.
Tonight, Anthony Rizzo, David Ross and Dexter Fowler decided to show off a whole new talent for a special skit, that’s right: their twerking skills. On top of that, they grooved right over a “dead granny.” Stripping down to their shorts and unbuttoning their vests for a bachelorette party, the athletes committed! One said, “who wants to hit a grammy slam?” David then quipped, “Grampa Rossy will take care of you.” Looks like a triple header! LOL! David Ross, the catcher for the champs confirmed their appearance on the show at the celebratory parade and rally.
Chicago is full of pride over their baseball team’s recent accomplishment, and nearly 5 million people flooded Michigan Ave wearing jerseys and waving signs in excitement over their monumental victory. Hillary Clinton, 69, who is one of SNL‘s favorite people to impersonate, even took to Twitter to send a congratulatory message. “They did it! 108 years later and the drought is finally over. Way to make history, @Cubs.” In the picture, fans can see the Democratic candidate cheering wildly after they were once again named the Champions.
President Obama, also a Chicago native was beside himself. “Dear followers. The @Cubs have won the World Series and I am openly crying. Ron may even have lifted his glass 2 our longsuffering.”
With all the hype regarding the star athletes, the hit NBC series also decided to book some major A-list talent, enlisting Benedict Cumberbatch as their guest host and Solange Knowles as their musical guest! As usual, Alec Baldwin and Kate McKinnon embodied their inner presidential candidates for a hilarious pre-election show.
