Niall Horan, 23, fueled romance rumors yet again while chatting with Los Angeles’ 102.7 KISS-FM on Nov. 30. During his interview with Ryan Seacrest, he revealed that he’s currently single and even joked about “sort[ing] it out” with Selena Gomez, 24. So, what does she think about his sweet comments? “Selena is flattered by what Niall had to say to Ryan, but part of her recovery involves no serious relationships,” a source tells EXCLUSIVELY. “In fact, for the time being she’s been advised not to date. Plus, dating is pretty much the last thing on her mind now. She is focused on herself and spending time with close friends.”
Niall shamelessly confessed that his last committed relationship was about one year ago, noting how he “prefers” being single for now. Of course, fans had their hopes up when the 1D star and Sel embraced following his performance of “This Town” at the 2016 American Music Awards. It’s clear there’s nothing but respect between these two, since he also took to Twitter to compliment her empowering speech after winning Favorite Female Artist on Nov. 20. He wrote, “Really great show. Loved it. love to Selena for the speech, brave young woman.” Too cute!
Meanwhile, Selena has been focusing on her well-being after taking an exit from the spotlight. The “Kill Em With Kindness” songstress revealed she was postponing her Revival World Tour back in Aug., explaining that she had been privately struggling with an autoimmune disease known as Lupus. Luckily, she made her first big appearance at the AMA’s looking happier and healthier than ever. Our source confirms, “She is also eager to get back to work both on her music and acting career. She has a lot of material for writing new songs.”
