Police IGP Orders Taraba State Police Commissioner To Arrest Killers Of Priest

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP  Adamu has instructed the Taraba State Commissioner of Police to fish out the killers of Rev. Father David. He was gruesomely killed in what can be regarded as a very barbaric and cruel manner by unknown assailants at Kpankufu Village.



In his narrative, he said the clergyman was not only murdered but also burnt in his car after the dastardly act.

IGP Adamu expresses sympathy with the Catholic church in Nigeria over the unfortunate incident as stated by the police Frank MBA.

The IGP expressed grave concerns over the recent spate of assaults on men of God in several locations in Nigeria. He went further to direct all the Commissioners of Police in the States of the country and also the Federal Capital Territory to from now on pay special attention to the clergy and boost security around worship centres in the entire nation.

The IGP went ahead to direct the DIG responsible for the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) to supply further rhetorical and evidence to the Taraba State Command to assist investigations into the incident. Adamu enjoined the people to be calm and provides the most support to the Police within the bid to unravel the perpetrators of the crime, their motives, and circumstances which led to the unfortunate killing of the Priest.

The IGP disclosed that he is confident that the perpetrators of this dreadful act will not go unapprehended and prosecuted within the ambits of the law.
